The Pen is the newest addition to Outbuildings; our first attempt at a build-your-own shepherds hut. Built from 80% reclaimed materials, it's everything you need to enjoy a perfect couple of nights in breathtaking Dorset Countryside. Wake up to panoramic views and sheep grazing just the other side of the bespoke steel doors in a king size handmade bed.
Inside, The Pen’s clever design packs in more features than some of our other rooms. A king size bed, huge copper bath, log burner, compact but fully-packed kitchen, to name but a few! The wonder of this small but mighty space means you can soak in the bath whilst still watching tv and basking in the warm glow of the log burner.
The Copper Kitchen with mini oven and coffee machine provides ample space to prepare one of our delicious food hampers. Which you can eat at the fold up breakfast bar with uninterrupted views across Dorset. Through to the rustic bathroom with heated floors you'll of course find our range of Outbuildings X Oleo products as you step into the waterfall shower.
Stoke up the log burner and sink back into bed,
with views over the West Dorset countryside.
Stream the TV you love with the large Smart TV, superfast WIFI
and complimentary Netflix.
Drift off to sleep in the marshmallowy king-sized handmade bed,
with William Morris velvet headboard and a Naturalmat organic mattress.
Sink into a deep bath whilst basking in the warm glow of the log burner,
complete with complimentary Outbuildings toiletries.
Cook up your own little storm in the perfectly formed Copper Kitchen,
everything you need in 2 metres square.

Sadly, The Pen is not child or baby-friendly.
Perfectly portioned for just two, nor is it suitable for pets.
The pen is a celebration of light and while there are beautiful handmade curtains, they are not blackouts.
The main heating source is the log burner, so fire lighting skills are a must. (Or just ask for help)
